CREDENTIALS OF AUTHOR
I, Bud Smith, have been around harness racing for over 38 years. I am a harness fan, handicapper, and also an author of harness handicapping systems and information. Many of you probably have some of my books I have written and hopefully they have helped you understand the sport to a greater extent and also make a profit on a consistent basis. My first book was published in 1980 and I have written seven others since that time. I have tried to meet the needs of every racing fan, however, I knew that with the new millenium on the horizon, a computer program for harness and thoroughbred fans was the next logical step. The race fan with the option to handicap races from a variety of modes such as class, speed, recent form, and hidden form makes this program very special to all who use it. What you will find with this program is an easy to understand and friendly approach to race handicapping that anyone can use to select winning plays and consistent profits. Presently employed as a college chemistry instructor, I have always been fascinated by numbers and statistics as applied to science and also to handicapping. I have served as track handicapper at Raceway Park in Toledo, Ohio and also as newspaper handicapper for the Toledo Blade. I have written several harness racing articles for the Phillips Racing Newsletter, the Harness Racing Insider, and the Penn-Ohio Racing Report. I have enjoyed harness racing over the many years of my involvement with handicapping. Hopefully using the Duo-Pix program will increase your enjoyment. May you experience great handicapping success at the races.
RELIABILITY
When a program like the Duo-Pix Computer Handicapping Program is designed and written, one may wonder how good the program really is. I have tested over 2000 races over a year and a half to verify the authenticity and accuracy of the program. The following statistics will help one understand the accuracy of Duo-Pix: 1. The top rated horse wins up to 40% of the time on the average. 2. The top two rated horses win 75% of the time on the average. 3. Exactas are selected 45% of the time on average. 4. Trifectas are selected 30% of the time on the average. 5. The top four horses are the most competitive and the winner is in this group 90% of the time on the average. 6. This program generally surpasses the Internet handicapping selections offered on a daily basis for a per program fee.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
I would like to thank a number of people who were instrumental in the development of the Duo-PixHandicapping Program. My wife, Peg, has been very patient and understanding during all the hours spent while testing the program as well as duplicating flyers and instruction manuals, my son-in-law, Aaron Marks, who advised me on some of the program techniques and web page design, and Brian Davis who actually programmed the entire Duo-Pix Program as it appears on your computer. Without these people the Duo-Pix Handicapping Program would not have been possible. |
